BE IN HEALTH
The wonderful words of the scriptures are the first resource to consult regarding one's health. First we are spiritual beings. Our spirituality affects our physical bodies. Our health depends not only on what we eat physically, but what is eating us spiritually (As the bird by wandering, as the swallow by flying, so the curse causeless shall not come.Proverbs 26:2).
There must: be peace with Yahovah, peace with man; and peace with self. In all these there is a cause and effect; a blessing or a curse. Our bodies are the Temple of Yahovah; there is not room for both fear and faith, hate and love, sin and obedience, sickness and health.
In this day of modern medicine, most people do
not know how dangerous the world's way of dealing with sickness is. The doctors
and pharmacists, who can not heal anyone, are part of a heathen, pagan,
antichrist system that is destoying the lives of millions.
My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected
knowledge, I will also reject thee...(Hosea 4:6) In
Galations 5:19-21 Believers are warned:
"Now the works of the flesh
are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness,
lasciviousness,idolatry, witchcraft,
... of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that
they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of
God."

Original, translated into English:
I swear by Apollo, the
healer, Asclepius,
Hygieia, and Panacea,
and I take to witness all the gods, all the
goddesses, to keep according to my ability
and my judgment, the following Oath and agreement:
To consider dear to me, as my parents, him who taught me this art; to live in common with him and, if necessary, to share my goods with him; To look upon his children as my own brothers, to teach them this art. I will prescribe regimens for the good of my patients according to my ability and my judgment and never do harm to anyone. I will not give a lethal drug to anyone if I am asked, nor will I advise such a plan; and similarly I will not give a woman a pessary to cause an abortion. But I will preserve the purity of my life and my arts. I will not cut for stone, even for patients in whom the disease is manifest; I will leave this operation to be performed by practitioners, specialists in this art. In every house where I come I will enter only for the good of my patients, keeping myself far from all intentional ill-doing and all seduction and especially from the pleasures of love with women or with men, be they free or slaves. All that may come to my knowledge in the exercise of my profession or in daily commerce with men, which ought not to be spread abroad, I will keep secret and will never reveal. If I keep this oath faithfully, may I enjoy my life and practice my art, respected by all men and in all times; but if I swerve from it or violate it, may the reverse be my lot. |
Modern translation of the English:
I swear by Apollo Physician and Asclepius and Hygieia and Panaceia and
all the gods, and goddesses, making them my witnesses, that I will
fulfill according to my ability and judgment this oath and this
covenant:
To hold him who has taught me this art as equal to my parents and to live my life in partnership with him, and if he is in need of money to give him a share of mine, and to regard his offspring as equal to my brothers in male lineage and to teach them this artif they desire to learn itwithout fee and covenant; to give a share of precepts and oral instruction and all the other learning to my sons and to the sons of him who has instructed me and to pupils who have signed the covenant and have taken the oath according to medical law, but to no one else. I will apply dietic measures for the benefit of the sick according to my ability and judgment; I will keep them from harm and injustice. I will neither give a deadly drug to anybody if asked for it, nor will I make a suggestion to this effect. Similarly I will not give to a woman an abortive remedy. In purity and holiness I will guard my life and my art. I will not use the knife, not even on sufferers from stone, but will withdraw in favor of such men as are engaged in this work. Whatever houses I may visit, I will come for the benefit of the sick, remaining free of all intentional injustice, of all mischief and in particular of sexual relations with both female and male persons, be they free or slaves. What I may see or hear in the course of treatment or even outside of the treatment in regard to the life of men, which on no account one must spread abroad, I will keep myself holding such things shameful to be spoken about. If I fulfil this oath and do not violate it, may it be granted to me to enjoy life and art, being honored with fame among all men for all time to come; if I transgress it and swear falsely, may the opposite of all this be my lot. |
The Almighty has put it in His Word that witchcraft is evil and to be shunned. Witchcraft is the accepted way for dealing with health problems, all down through history and in every society. In many places a "witchdoctor" is summoned to rid a sick person of an illness, and Christians would never supposedly go to one. In a sophisticated society like North America the "witch" part was subtly removed; though the medical symbol has two serpents wrapped around a sword; and an very elaborate process has evolved to hide what is behind modern medicine. However the word "witchcraft" says it all, as the whole process is reliant on a drug vending process that is costing billions of dollars, and the net result is, it detracts from the Creator. Scripture always has the answer(though we must study diligently to find it), is never wrong, and is there for our benefit.
Let us read what YHVH says about being healed:
"Bless YHVH, O
my soul: and all that is within me, bless his exalted name.
Bless YHVH, O my soul, and forget
not all his benefits:
Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth
all
thy diseases;"
Psalm.103:1-3
"... If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of YHVH thy Elohim, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am YHVH that healeth thee." Exodus 15:26
"And YHVH will take away from thee all sickness, and will put none of the evil diseases of Egypt, which thou knowest, upon thee; but will lay them upon all them that hate thee" .Deuteronomy 7:15
"Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope thou in El: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my El." Psalm 42:11, Psalm 43:5
"el be merciful unto us, and bless us; and cause his
face to shine upon us; Selah.
That thy way may be known upon earth, thy saving
health among all nations.
Let the people praise thee, O El; let all
the people praise thee.
O let the nations be glad and sing for joy: for thou shalt judge the people
righteously, and govern the nations upon earth. Selah.
Let the people praise thee, O El; let all the people
praise thee.
Then shall the earth yield her increase; and El, even
our own El, shall bless us.
El shall bless us; and all the ends of the
earth shall fear him."
"My son, forget not my law; but
let thine heart keep my commandments:
For length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to thee.
Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon
the table of thine heart:
So shalt thou find favour and good understanding in the sight of El and man.
Trust in YHVH with all thine heart; and lean not
unto thine own understanding.
In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear YHVH, and depart from evil.
It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow
to thy bones.
Honour YHVH with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine
increase:
So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with
new wine.
My son, despise not the chastening of YHVH; neither be weary of his
correction:
For whom YHVH loveth he correcteth; even as a father the son in whom he
delighteth.
Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding.
For the merchandise of it is better than the merchandise of silver, and the gain
thereof than fine gold.
She is more precious than rubies: and all the things thou canst desire are not
to be compared unto her.
Length of days is in her right hand; and in her left hand riches and honour.
Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace.
She is a tree of life to them that lay hold upon her:
and happy is every one that retaineth her.
YHVH by wisdom hath founded the earth; by understanding hath he established
the heavens.
By his knowledge the depths are broken up, and the clouds drop down the dew.
My son, let not them depart from thine eyes: keep sound wisdom and discretion:
So shall they be life unto thy soul, and
grace to thy neck.
Then shalt thou walk in thy way safely, and thy foot shall not stumble.
When thou liest down, thou shalt not be afraid:
yea, thou shalt lie down, and thy sleep shall be sweet.
Be not afraid of sudden fear, neither of the desolation of the wicked, when it
cometh.
For YHVH shall be thy confidence, and
shall keep thy foot from being taken.
Withhold not good from them to whom it is due, when it
is in the power of thine hand to do it.
Say not unto thy neighbour, Go, and come again, and to morrow I will give; when
thou hast it by thee.
Devise not evil against thy neighbour, seeing he dwelleth securely by thee.
Strive not with a man without cause, if he have done thee no harm.
Envy thou not the oppressor, and choose none of his ways.
For the froward is abomination to the YHVH: but his secret is with the
righteous.
The curse of YHVH is in the house of the wicked: but
he blesseth the habitation of the just.
Surely he scorneth the scorners: but he giveth grace
unto the lowly.
The wise shall inherit glory: but shame shall be the promotion of fool"
"Hear, ye children, the instruction of a father, and
attend to know understanding.
For I give you good doctrine, forsake ye not my law.
For I was my father's son, tender and only beloved in the sight of my mother.
He taught me also, and said unto me, Let thine heart retain my words: keep my
commandments, and live.
Get wisdom, get understanding: forget it not; neither decline from the words of
my mouth.
Forsake her not, and she shall preserve thee: love her, and she shall keep thee.
Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting
get understanding.
Exalt her, and she shall promote thee: she shall bring thee to honour, when thou
dost embrace her.
She shall give to thine head an ornament of grace: a crown of glory shall she
deliver to thee.
Hear, O my son, and receive my sayings; and the years of thy life shall be many.
I have taught thee in the way of wisdom; I have led thee in right paths.
When thou goest, thy steps shall not be straitened; and when thou runnest, thou
shalt not stumble.
Take fast hold of instruction; let her not go: keep her; for she is thy life.
Enter not into the path of the wicked, and go not in the way of evil men.
Avoid it, pass not by it, turn from it, and pass away.
For they sleep not, except they have done mischief; and their sleep is taken
away, unless they cause some to fall.
For they eat the bread of wickedness, and drink the wine of violence.
But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more
unto the perfect day.
The way of the wicked is as darkness: they know not at what they stumble.
My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings.
Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart.
For they are life unto those that find them, and health
to all their flesh.
Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are
the issues of life.
Put away from thee a froward mouth, and perverse lips put far from thee.
Let thine eyes look right on, and let thine eyelids look straight before thee.
Ponder the path of thy feet, and let all thy ways be established.
Turn not to the right hand nor to the left: remove thy foot from evil."
"He that speaketh truth
sheweth forth righteousness: but a false witness deceit.
There is that speaketh like the piercings of a sword: but
the tongue of the wise is health" Proverbs
12:17,18
"Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a
trumpet, and shew my people their transgression, and the house of Jacob their
sins.
Yet they seek me daily, and
delight to know my ways, as a nation that did
righteousness, and forsook not the ordinance of their God: they ask of me the
ordinances of justice; they take delight in approaching to El.
Wherefore have we fasted, say they, and thou seest not? wherefore have we
afflicted our soul, and thou takest no knowledge? Behold, in the day of your
fast ye find pleasure, and exact all your labours.
Behold, ye fast for strife and debate, and to smite with the fist of wickedness:
ye shall not fast as ye do this day, to make your voice to be heard on high.
Is it such a fast that I have chosen? a day for a man to afflict his soul? is it
to bow down his head as a bulrush, and to spread sackcloth and ashes under him?
wilt thou call this a fast, and an acceptable day to YHVH?
Is not this the fast that I have chosen?
to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy
burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break
every
yoke?
Is it not to deal thy bread to the hungry, and that thou bring the poor that are
cast out to thy house? when thou seest the naked, that thou cover him; and that
thou hide not thyself from thine own flesh?
Then shall thy light break forth as the morning, and thine health shall spring
forth speedily: and thy righteousness shall go before thee; the glory of YHVH shall be thy rereward.
Then shalt thou call, and YHVH shall answer; thou shalt cry, and he shall
say, Here I am. If thou take away from the midst of thee the yoke, the putting
forth of the finger, and speaking vanity;
And if thou draw out thy soul to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted soul;
then shall thy light rise in obscurity, and thy darkness be as the noonday:
And YHVH shall guide thee continually, and satisfy
thy soul in drought, and make fat thy bones: and thou shalt be like a watered
garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not.
And they that shall be of thee shall build the old waste places: thou shalt
raise up the foundations of many generations; and thou shalt be called, The
repairer of the breach, The restorer of paths to dwell in.
If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, from doing thy pleasure on my holy
day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of YHVH, honourable; and shalt
honour him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor
speaking thine own words:
Then shalt thou delight thyself in YHVH; and
I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth, and feed thee with
the heritage of Jacob thy father: for the mouth of YHVH hath spoken
it."
"Pleasant words are as an
honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones.
There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the
end thereof are the ways of death." Proverbs 16:24,25
"And Asa in the thirty and ninth year of his reign was diseased in his feet,
until his disease was exceeding great: yet
in his disease he sought not to
YHVH, but to the physicians."
II Chronicles 16:12 Two years later he died.
"Seek YHVH while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near" Isaiah 55:6
Romans 12
"I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of El, that ye present your
bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto El, which is your reasonable
service.
And be not conformed to this world: but
be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that
good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of El.
For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not
to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly,
according as El hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.
For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same
office:
So we, being many, are one body in Messiah, and every one members one of another.
Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether
prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith;
Or ministry, let us wait on our ministering: or he that teacheth, on teaching;
Or he that exhorteth, on exhortation: he that giveth, let him do it with
simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that sheweth mercy, with
cheerfulness.
Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is
evil; cleave to that which is good.
Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring
one another;
Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving YHVH;
Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer;
Distributing to the necessity of saints; given to hospitality.
Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not.
Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep.
Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to
men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits.
Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all
men.
If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live
peaceably with all men.
Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it
is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith YHVH.
Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in
so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head.
Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good."
I Corinthians 13:1-7
"Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels,
and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.
And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all
knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and
have not charity, I am nothing.
And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to
be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.
Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth
not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,
Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked,
thinketh no evil;
Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;
Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all
things."
